Dear Friend,
You are likely wondering who
the hell is Kara Jankowski and what on earth does
she do? And how did I get to this website anyway?
You may have arrived after
reading my article regarding network marketing vs
direct sales. Or maybe you found me on Google.
Either way...
Allow me a brief introduction.
I am FIRST a mom to a great
five year old, and six years ago I found myself
frantic to find a job or business from home in order
to make sure my child was raised BY ME and not a
$8-12/hour day care worker.
That fear (and the fear of
paying the bills of course) really fueled my fire
and was when my entrepreneurial spirit went into
hyper drive.
I had just sold my pet-sitting
business, since I clearly wasn't going to continue
that with an infant in tow.
Then my husband was laid off.
Stress? Nahhh....
That's when I found a business
where I thrived. First year I grossed $75K, the next
year, over $100K. But then, the economy started its
downward spiral...
The underlying company went out
of business overnight...
And my income suddenly went
from six figures to
zero.
After a brief period of
"mourning" so to speak, and armed with the knowledge
I'd gained in marketing and training others, I began
anew.
Once again frantic to find that
perfect business, I must have joined five or more
before I settled on something, only to be
sidetracked by a couple things.
First, because of
the huge loss of income, I could no longer afford
the wonderful nanny who watched my son in her
home-based, one-on-one preschool environment.
Then, it was time for him to
enter regular preschool. At first I thought, great!
Now he'll be out of the house and I'll have even
MORE time to work my business!
But sadly that amounted to
roughly two hours a day. My husband was back to work
which meant I had to smush all the activities that I
couldn't do with a four-year-old in tow into about 8
hours a week...including working...
...and my business ground to a
halt.
Sure, when he was home I could
do laundry and clean without interruption, but
the second and let me repeat, literally
the second I picked up the phone, there he
was needing me for something of dire importance.
You know...like a snack...or
that the sun finally came out...or that the dog was
licking her butt!
Important stuff to a four year
old!
But finally, FINALLY I found a
solution. A business partner! Our schedules
complemented each other perfectly.
So now, together, Monique and I
are
charging the world once again and helping many
people change their lives...with a company that
isn't going to drop off the face of the earth
like what happened before.
So enough about me. What about
