View DECEMBER 08 Cover Large

My husband Rob and I have been married for ten years and we reside in the gorgeous state of New Hampshire with our young son.

My decision to work from home has been validated each day because I've been able to experience our son's growth from the beginning...

From his first steps, each new word, and all the wonderful (and sometimes frustrating) changes children go through on a daily basis.

It's been a blessing to be home for my family anytime they need me - or I need them.

My family couldn't ask for more than for me to simply be here with them.

I've been able to put the commute, the boss, the alarm clock and the rigid work schedule behind me.

Prior to discovering my business, I spent many years managing an international mail-order bookstore.

If you are in the actuarial field, or studied to become an actuary during the years of 1996 - 2003, you definitely would have spoken to me at the Actuarial Bookstore.

But after time, I realized that I wanted to start a business of my own.

So I did my research and started a successful pet sitting company called Granite State PetWatch.

The business occupied every single day of my life from mid-2003 to April 2006.

It was great because I filled a very strong demand in my area, and I was truly helping out those who couldn't - or wouldn't - leave their pets in a kennel.

I received incredible testimonials during my time, and my clients were really upset to see me go. It was very hard for me to say goodbye to my animal friends as well.

Our beautiful Elkhound, Maia

With the arrival of my son I had to switch gears. It was impossible for me to attentively raise our child while also maintaining the large responsibilities of a pet sitting business.

Plus, I was working 7 days a week, mornings, nights, weekends and holidays. I had a business but really, the business had me. It was time for a change.

So, I started a new home-based business and quickly realized that it's vital to get solid marketing training when starting any business.

I also learned that I couldn’t make a fortune marketing to my friends and family as was suggested and promoted by that particular company and my upline.

Learning various online and offline marketing skills - besides the old standard "three foot rule", was what allowed me to become successful in a short period of time.

Most companies don't train you on internet marketing, but I feel it is VITAL you partner with someone who can teach you these skills.

Stop now and ask yourself this key question...Do you know how you're going to keep your family free of financial worry and debt? Is your financial "house" in order and where you want it to be?

Mine was most definitely not, and I wasn't happy about it. We were literally charging diapers and groceries on the credit card, and paying our car insurance and other bills with the home equity line of credit. It was a huge financial hole and I had no idea how to escape.

Discovering My Business

During this time I happened across the Law Of Attraction. By now I think everyone has heard about it in the media or watched the amazing movie or read the book by Rhonda Byrne, The Secret.

Proven fact: there is a law as unquestionable as the law of gravity that states you will bring about what you think about.

I suddenly realized I had been focusing on worry and debt, and bringing more and more of that upon myself.

So I started focusing on what was going to happen in my life - what I really wanted to see happen.

When I spent more time focusing on what I really wanted in life, instead of the poor situation I was in, my attitude (and subsequently my life) completely changed.

(ah, focus on this! The beach at the Ritz Carlton, Cancun, Mexico)

When you focus on what you want to occur, your brain immediately begins to come up with new solutions to old problems.

Suddenly I could clearly see what I needed to do.

I began a search to find what would suit my immediate needs, namely, I needed my work efforts to be rewarded with quick and serious cash flow.

And that's where I found a simple but powerful solution.

I did my research and asked a lot of questions. And I know you'll do the same as you decide upon the right business for you.

In fact, one of the factors that attracted me to my current business was that I could obtain all the information right upfront, for free and without pressure, so I could really look and decide if this would be a good fit for myself and my family.

I got started...and within three months I was earning more than I did at my former management position.

In 6 months I was making quadruple what I earned with my pet sitting company.

Since then I've earned over $100,000 in a year, and enjoyed $10,000 days and many five figure months.

Let me tell you right now, I do not think money is everything. I'm sure there's people out there making more money than I have, and that's fine.

Personally, my main goal in starting a home based business was to keep my son out of daycare and enjoy as much family time as possible.

Could I have earned more than I have? Yes of course, but to me, family time is vitally important, especially during the young years of a child's life...and family is my priority #1.

Imagine what you can do, if I've done all this in my part time around family!

My friends and colleagues know that I'm a driven and conscientious person who is intelligent, honest, real and direct.

I won't make any fantastic claims or guarantees and I won't try to sell you or convince you of anything.

I simply found a way out of my situation, and if you're looking for the same thing, it is absolutely worth your time to take a look (not to mention that it's completely free to check it out).

Additionally, I think it’s important – no, it’s essential that you like and trust the person you do business with.

That’s why I disclose my full contact information AND I actually answer my phone. That's pretty rare in this industry. Feel free to call me today at 603-664-3553.

I want you to know that I'm a real person, this isn't just a website front with fake pictures of fancy cars that someone took at a Mercedes dealership.

I've had a normal life with challenges and setbacks that are common to many. I've been through those rough times, I had those same doubts, those same frustrations.

Thankfully, I figured out how to get past them.

The single most important thing you can do when you start a business is to be sure you partner with someone that you like, someone you can work with, and someone you can trust. Someone who has had proven success and can lead the way for you.

And that's why I have this web site, so you can learn more about me and determine if I'm someone you'd like, as a person and a business partner.

I promise I will spend as much time as it takes to provide you with ALL the information you need to make an informed decision - upfront and for free. That's how much I believe in and stand by my business.

If you're ready to learn more, call me today at 603-664-3553.

My Past

Bridge of the Americas,
Panama City, Panama

I grew up in a small suburb of Boston, Massachusetts during the 80’s – big hair, neon, spandex pants and all that craziness. Nope, no pictures of that here!

I've always been very independent and industrious. I quickly learned how to get what I wanted, and I entered the work force at the age of 14.

I survived high school and moved from my small town to the vibrant college town of Ithaca, NY, where I lived and worked for 6 years.

I earned my BA in Environmental Studies while working as assistant manager in a very popular local restaurant.

I met my husband, and decided I missed the ocean and New England, and we moved back to the East Coast.

Unfortunately for us, it was the fall of 1995 and the government had shut down.

Environmental jobs were nonexistent. We took whatever jobs we could to put food on the table and pay the rent.

Through a twist of events I found a job with a small business. It was an incredible company that a hard-working husband and wife started in their home.

At the time I had no idea the gift I was given.

I was able to learn from two people who grew a multi-million dollar business from the ground up, and the experience was incredibly valuable to my future.

When they decided to move on to new adventures in their lives, I moved with the company to work for the new owner, and had the very unique position of knowing more about the business than my new boss!

These experiences taught me how to successfully run a business, and how to interact with a multitude of personality types.

But the most important lesson I learned was that my ultimate goals were not going to be reached working for someone else.

Imagine this...I was working the job of three people, and yes, I was making a good income.

But the owner of the business, my new boss, was making huge money from my efforts.

I did all the work, and could barely take sick time since no one else knew how to do my job!

I felt really trapped in my position and I wanted out. I knew that I was skilled in many areas but...I didn’t have a specialty or Masters Degree.

I knew I could succeed at whatever I put my mind to, but I wasn’t happy working for someone else on their terms.

I finally realized that I could put my skills to use for MYSELF and start making myself rich instead of someone else.

So this was when I made the choice to start my own business, and I’ve never looked back. That was in 2003.

In fact I can’t imagine ever having a boss again. There's no going back once you realize that you can make it on your own.

Rob with Maia and Duke

While I was figuring all this out I was truly blessed to have the support of my husband Rob.

He knew from day one that I could do whatever I put my mind to, and he was supportive, even at the start when we didn't make any money.

I was making an almost-six figure income that I walked away from to start my own business.

I walked away from the "security" of a paycheck and put my security into my own hands. Sure it was scary, but at least I knew I wouldn't let myself down.

Years later, after realizing my pet sitting business wasn't achieving the goals I originally had planned upon, I sold the business to grow our family.

The Ax

So here it was, Spring of 2006, and about ready to give birth to our first child.

When I was six months pregnant, Rob was laid off from his company after 10 years of faithful service. We experienced firsthand that "security" working for an employer no longer exists.

Imagine this...they literally pushed him out the door with no severance package and 2 weeks left on our health benefits...all to save the company a few bucks as they hired a younger worker just out of college.

So with baby on the way we now had to replace two incomes and heath insurance.

It was further cemented in our minds that in order to provide security for our son’s future, we had to work for ourselves.

The Blessing

In reality, the loss of Rob's job was a blessing in disguise. He was able to help me when I needed it, and he didn't have to worry about taking time off work when our son was born.

Since then, being self-employed has worked out very well for us.

We’ve been able to put time toward our favorite things...cooking is one of my passions. Authentic Mexican cuisine is my specialty.

We love hiking, fishing, boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, watching Patriots Football games and grilling out with family and neighbors.

We enjoy growing fresh veggies and herbs...tasting fine tequila...eating seafood. We love music, especially latin music, which we find provides a fun and positive atmosphere.

Most of all I love to read positive books, learn how to better our lives, and spend quality time with family.

We've enjoyed tremendous vacations on Cape Cod with family and friends, and traveled to Jamaica, St. Lucia and the Dominican Republic.

Recently I've also been able to travel twice to Panama; twice to Toronto and twice to Dallas! My favorite trip was a life-altering conference in Cancun, Mexico at the Ritz Carlton.

We've also been able to afford our dream vacation - staying at an oceanfront home on beautiful Popponesset Beach in New Seabury on Cape Cod.

Ocean view from the yard of our vacation rental.

Nantucket Sound - our vacation backyard playground!

Money

We all want money...but for each of us we have different reasons. Money doesn't bring happiness, but it does bring CHOICES.

Money means not worrying about food and shelter, about college costs and retirement.

Money means that we can help our family and our community. Money means we can choose how we spend our days and with whom.

Working for others is an endless cycle. Our paycheck creates a false sense of security, and we spend unwisely, knowing each week that check will rescue us.

But are we really living the life of our dreams in this way?

Are we able to really afford what we truly want to be, do and have in our lives?

Most of us either work too hard for too little money, or we work too hard and never have time to enjoy the rewards.

Owning a business, and subsequently owning your time and your life, can be the answer to provide security, financial satisfaction and the time to enjoy it.

How To Choose?

When I went looking for a home business, I had several needs in mind that had to be met.

First, the business I got involved with had to have some way to leverage my time.

I was not going to work the typical 80 hour work week as most people do when starting a traditional business or franchise.

I wanted automation, but at the same time I didn’t want one of those hyped-up schemes that promise they will "do everything" for you.

I know that’s not realistic and I think you do as well.

I mean really, if there was a business out there that you could just sit back with your feet on the desk and watch money flow in without difficulty, wouldn’t we all be rich?

Thirdly, I wanted to be sure there was a high quality product or service so that my business would have integrity and value for others.

Something that would help people improve the value and quality of their lives.

So now that you know about me and what prompted me to search for a home business, you may be wondering what exactly it is that I do.

Give me a call right away at 603-664-3553.

The economy we are currently in requires that we all have multiple streams of income. Just as there's no such thing as the 40-year secure career anymore, there's also no such thing as marketing just one product or service.

This "diversity" business model allows us to maintain a steady income rather than dealing with the financial ups and downs that come with marketing one product or service.

And I love the fact that we can work anywhere anywhere there's a phone and internet connection!

What's important to note is that people are not duplicatable, but systems are. If you have a proven system, anyone with any background can succeed if they put their mind to it.

Is This For You?

Are there any shortcomings to this business you may ask? Yes, of course. There's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all business. Here's how to tell if this may or may not be for you.

  • If you are looking for an at-home job such as filling out surveys, processing rebates or doing data entry, this is not for you. This is a real business, not a job.

  • If you are unwilling or unable to financially invest in the start-up and growth of your business, this is not for you. Any real business requires some basic capital.

  • If you are only willing to "give it a month" to see if it "works for you" this is not for you. Please don't waste your time or mine. As with any business, seeing results requires work and consistent effort.

  • If you're unwilling or unable to speak to people on the phone on a consistent basis, this is not for you. This is a people business and most of our time is spent connecting with others on the phone.

The people I work with come from all walks of life – college students, at-home moms and dads, corporate professionals, sales professionals, military personnel, entrepreneurs, retirees and business owners. But we all share some common traits. Do you have them?

  • If you have a strong desire for more in life – more money, more time, more freedom, more to give back...then this business is for you.

  • If you have a strong work ethic to put towards achieving your goals and aren't looking for a get-rich-quick...then this business is for you.

  • If you have the willingness to learn new skills and expand your abilities, so you can improve your quality of life, then this business is for you.

  • If you understand that one does not "try" a business, one makes an educated decision, creates goals and action plans and sets themselves on a course to success and follows that path...then this business is for you.

  • If you have the capital to invest in yourself and your future, then this business is for you. How much you might ask? That is entirely up to you. Newbies to internet business may want to go slow and invest less than $100. That's ok! Folks looking for larger commissions faster may want a budget of about $700 to get going. We're not talking thousands of dollars here so let's get started!

Starting a business is a serious decision and should not be taken lightly. If you're committed to creating the life you want and deserve, we need to talk. And I promise you solid honest information. No hype, no pressure.

Call me today and I'll give you all details you need. What are you waiting for?

Sincerely,
